The Oil and Water Photography Collection was inspired by the observation that while some things may appear to repel or oppose each other, there are times when their coming together can be a thing of great beauty. Occasionally, with the right conditions and right amount of light, there can be something inherently beautiful about the refusal of the elements to mix.
Large or tiny bubbles can be created depending upon how quickly or slowly oil is introduced to water. Normally when oil is placed in water the images look quite bland. However with meticulous lighting and backgrounds, an almost ethereal image can be produced.
Technically difficult to capture, the perfect balance between lights, colours, water and oil creates results that are truly mesmerising.
Each individual piece has been carefully crafted and specifically lit in such a way as to reveal the complete beauty of oil and water.
